Forensic Nursing Program

Forensic Nurses provide victims of sexual assault with coordinated, timely, comprehensive and compassionate care.

Forensic Nurses are registered nurses with advanced specialized education and a demonstrated competency to conduct a medical forensic exam to sexual assault patients. The Forensic Nurses at MedCentral are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to care for sexual assault victims in the North Central Ohio area. This care is offered to any victim regardless of gender, age or race.

Forensic Nurses work with all community agencies that might care for or come in contact with the sexual assault patient, and they are available to provide expert witness testimony in the courtroom.
