Hand Therapy

Specialized treatment for the upper extremities

What is Hand Therapy?

Hand Therapy treats injuries and conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder.

Hand therapists are either occupational or physical therapists who have specialized training in treating upper extremity conditions through advanced study.

Our occupational therapy staff, including a certified hand therapist (CHT), works closely with physicians and patients to provide a continuum of care. Treatment often begins within days of an injury or surgery and continues until patients have achieved maximum functional abilities and can lead a productive lifestyle.
