How do I make an appointment?
It is imperative that you begin with a customized program tailored to your fitness needs and desires. For this reason, your first three workouts will be conducted with a Fitness Instructor. To schedule these free workouts, call 419-526-8900 or ask any staff member for information. Please keep the appointments you make.

How will I know how to use the equipment?
It may take a few visits to learn all the pieces of equipment and what each one does. In addition to the three visits with a staff member, there will always be an employee available to answer questions. Although these three appointments are recommended for all members, they are required for members under the age of 18.

How do I get started each day at the MedCentral Health & Fitness Center?
Always check-in at the front desk with your membership card upon entering the facility. You may store your personal belongings in one of the many lockers provided. Lockers are first come, first serve, but we have plenty. You must bring your own lock. We will not be responsible for lost or stolen items. You must provide your own towel from home. If you happen to forget a lock or towel, you may purchase one at the front desk.

How does the indoor track work?
The track has four lanes. The inside two lanes are for walking, the third lane is for jogging, and the outside lane is for passing. Members crossing the track are asked to yield to members walking or jogging on the track.

Is there a limit on cardiovascular equipment?
Not unless someone is waiting. If there is someone waiting to use the piece of equipment you are working on, please limit your workout to 30 minutes. If you are waiting for a specific piece of equipment, simply let the person currently on the machine know that you wish to go next, or ask a Fitness Instructor for assistance. The machine should be yours within 30 minutes.

How do I use your Fitness Theater?
It's easy! Tune your personal headset radio to one of the five television frequencies. If you do not have a personal headset radio, you can purchase one at the Health & Fitness Center.

How do I make a suggestion/complaint?
We love to hear from you and have a system set up so you can feel comfortable about suggestions. Simply stop by the front desk and ask for a suggestion/complaint card or use the suggestion box in the lobby. Complete the card and we will address your concern as soon as possible. If your concern is too serious for a suggestion/complaint card, see the manager immediately.

What should I wear while exercising?
Everyone must wear shirts with sleeves, shorts, sweatpants or exercise tights. No tank tops, half-tops, torn shirts or thongs are permitted. We prefer clean athletic shoes; stocking feet are not allowed in the exercise areas.

Is there any etiquette concerning working out that I should know?
As a courtesy to other members, please wipe off equipment after exercising. There are spray bottles and towels positioned around the Fitness Center or you may carry a small hand towel and clean as you go. Please return all free-weights to their proper place on the racks provided when you're finished using them. Please treat other members and the staff with courtesy and respect.
