We offer cancer patients a comprehensive variety of services and treatment options right here in North Central Ohio. Mansfield Hospital offers a unique 22-bed inpatient oncology unit dedicated to providing state-of-the art treatments and care. Board certified oncology physicians work with specially trained nurses and support staff to provide treatments that were once only available at larger research facilities. All Registered Nurses within the program are required to become certified in chemotherapy administration, and are encouraged to become nationally certified in oncology nursing through the Oncology Nursing Society Certification Program. We provide a variety of treatments, including surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and brachytherapy. We also offer newer forms of biotherapy, including a wide range of biological response modifiers such as monoclonal antibodies, hematopoietic growth factors and vaccines. We also provide inpatient care for patients who have undergone a bone marrow transplant.
