Healthy Chef discusses "Fun with Tofu"
The latest installment of MedCentral’s Healthy Chef Cooking Series will look at how to prepare a meal with tofu. “Fun with Tofu” will be held Thursday, June 6, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the MedCentral Health & Fitness Center, 1750 W. MedCentral Health System is offering three sessions of blood pressure screenings in June. All are free and open to the public. Blood pressure screenings will be held: Wednesday, June 5, 9-11 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. at the MedCentral Health & Fitness Center, 1750 W. Fourth St., Ontario. Friday, June 14, 9-11 a.m. at the MedCentral/Shelby Hospital Surgery Center, 199 W. Main St. Wednesday, June19, 9 a.m.-noon at Mansfield Hospital lobby, 335 Glessner Ave.
Learn to ride a bike
MedCentral’s Pediatric Therapy Department is encouraging children to lose those training wheels during learn to Ride a Bike Day on June 1. The free event will take place from 8 a.m. until noon at the Pediatric Therapy site at 2011 West Fourth St. Time slots are available for 100 children ages 5 and up. 2013 MedCentral Golf Classic set for June 24
MedCentral’s annual golf classic is set for Monday, June 24, at Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield. The system-wide golf outing is open to the public.
