Occupational Therapy
Phone: 419-526-8685
Occupational therapy is a skilled treatment that helps people achieve independence in all areas of their lives. No matter their age or physical or psychosocial deficit, we offer services that can help. Patients, as well as their loved ones, are central to their own care as we provide individualized services and help them reach their goals. We develop or restore function for daily living, leisure and work while promoting wellness by focusing on prevention.
Treatment is available at Mansfield and Shelby hospitals, the MedCentral Wellness Complex, in patients' home through MedCentral HomeCare and for children through Pediatric Therapy services.
Specialized programs include:

Therapeutic recreation
Therapeutic recreation is an important part of our effort to restore patients' function and improve their quality of life. We take special consideration of patients' need to cope with their hospitalization and adjust to new life situations caused by their illness or disability. Recreational activities promote recovery by addressing patients' physical, cognitive, social, emotional and leisure needs.
