Physical Therapy
Our inpatient and outpatient physical therapy team provides innovative and effective therapy techniques to evaluate and treat a wide variety of neurologic and orthopedic conditions, for injured athletes, post- surgical, orthopedic, vestibular, neurological and urinary incontinence patients.
Our services include:
- Comprehensive evaluations
- Functional exercises and conditioning
- Gait and biomechanical training
- Patient specific rehabilitation
- Custom fabrication and fitting of orthotics
- Biofeedback and electrical stimulation for urinary incontinence
- Athletic Trainer outreach services
- Balance and coordination training
- Family education and discharge planning
Common conditions treated include:
- Low back pain
- Neck pain
- Knee, ankle and foot pain
- Shoulder, arm and wrist pain
- Headaches
- Dizziness/vertigo
- Postoperative therapy including, but not limited to joint replacments, ACL reconstructions, arthroscopic surgeries, rotator cuff repairs, Rotator Cuff Injury fractures and laminectomies
- Women's Urinary Incontinence
Our facilities include exercise equipment, a body weight support system for gait training (Lite Gait), and equipment to assess balance disorders.
Our goal is to help each patient achieve his optimal safety and independence in mobility so he can return to home and community activities. We believe in promoting a healthy lifestyle beyond our patient's immediate health concerns, so we offer every patient a free 60-day membership at the MedCentral Health & Fitness Center at the end of therapy, with the clearance from your doctor. We will waive the enrollment fee for any patient who decides to purchase a membership at that time.
