The best exercise program is one that fits your own needs and schedule. MedCentral Health System is offering a free discussion that can show you how to create one yourself.
“Developing a Personalized Exercise Program” will be presented by Exercise Physiologist Kerry Green on Nov. 5, 7:30-8:30 p.m., in the MedCentral Health & Fitness Center aerobic studio/classroom. The Health & Fitness Center is located in the MedCentral Wellness Complex, 1750 W. Fourth St., Ontario.
This program will provide the key information you need to develop a well-rounded, individualized exercise program based on the guidelines from the American College of Sports Medicine. Highlights include the benefits of exercise, the components of physical fitness, guidelines for developing a personal fitness program and motivation to exercise for a lifetime. It will also address weight loss, finding time to exercise, selecting home exercise equipment and goal setting.
The program is free and open to the public. A minimum number of participants must be registered by noon on Nov. 4 for this program to be held. Register by calling 419-526-8900.
