MedCentral Neurosciences

At MedCentral, our group of experts is solely dedicated to the care and management of neuroscience patients. To that end, our critical care unit is comprised of a multi-specialty team of board-certified neurologists, neurosurgeons, and diagnostic and interventional neuroradiologists. The team is also comprised of critical care nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathology/Audiology, dietitians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, social workers, clergy and rehabilitation specialists. By working together, the team can provide the best possible treatment plan.

The MedCentral team is skilled in recognizing a critically ill patient’s need for physiologic stability and coordinating interventions directed at resolving life-threatening problems. Activities are focused on the support of patient adaptation, restoration of health and preservation of patient rights.

Our surgical intensive care unit is specially designed to care for these patients. Located on the same floor as a bi-plane angiography suite, our 10-bed intensive care unit eliminates the need for patients to travel off the floor during an emergency. The 15-bed step-down unit is located next to the intensive care unit.
